Library for the Udagama Village

During our many visits to Udagama village in Mathale we noticed there are lots of reading enthusiasts. So we decided to get together with the youths and build a library for the village which will server many people.

We are going to build a library in the village of Udagama for the benefit of many children who cannot afford to buy books themselves to quench their thirst for reading. This village is located in a remote area of the Mathale district and it’s the home to over 400 children. Though we target children there are plenty of adults who are very much interested in reading. This is one of the things that they request our support for. A place to keep books safely and to read them in leisure. So we thought of giving our best effort to it to encourage reading among our future generations.

This is definitely going to be a huge expense but everyone in the village is ready to make a contribution in the ways they can. This makes the job easier for us. At the moment the estimated budget of the project is around 1 million rupees. So we need your support in order to make this a reality. Let’s get together and give these kids a chance to grow among the books and become good citizens of the country.
