It has been about 4 years since we first went to Sulugune Primary School. We were unable to go there due to the Covid epidemic in previous years, so our friends decided to see those children this time and help them in our own little way.
Completed Projects
In a heartwarming gesture of compassion and support, our charitable organization, “Ekamuththo,” recently extended its helping hand to Koholanwala Primary School.
We are very happy that we were able to facilitate the children, teachers and parent of the Sulugune Primary School who came on a trip to Colombo on 5th of March.
Andawala Udagama Purana Viharaya lacks a proper PA system. A PA system will not only help the religious activities of the temple but also to the community because the main hall of the temple is used by many.
During our book donation to rural schools we made ourselves a promise to come back with modern equipment that will aid in increasing the quality to education. This is how we kept our promise.
After being under attack from weather for many years the bell tower of the Andawala Udagama temple lost it’s luster. We decided it’s time to give it a make over.
We ventured into 3 rural villages in Wilgamuwa area in search of kids who are in great need of outside help. We were surprised so much with what we have found. It was unforgettable.
Though the Bodhi maluwa had new lights and fresh coat of paint the walkway was in a bad shape. It needed a new layer of sand and we set out to find it.
After painting and lighting up the Bodhi Maluwa we turned our attention to the rest of the temple. It needed lots of works. We had to start from somewhere. Final result was more paint and more lights.
This is not one of our usual projects but we found a sponsor who are willing to provide funding to start small scale chicken farms for eggs. So we thought it might help somebody and jumped in.
